Marvelous Volcanic Ensemble

Have I mentioned before that Karl Lagerfeld is a genius? 

Every season, I look at Chanel thinking that I know what to expect - twists on Coco’s classic suit. And yet, Lagerfeld manages to make those twists real, interesting and unexpected.

Most of the looks in this collection are totally wearable - I may even try to the center one for work. The collection combines frills and ruffles with straight lines in a way that is fun, yet elegant.

It was really hard to narrow down my favorite looks in this collection - there were some cute poofy dresses that I can imagine my favorite starlets wearing on the red carpet, and some cool white swimsuits with see-through rain jackets. You’ll just have to make do with what I’m showing above :)

I’m starting think that I should just make a blog about girls looking hot in suits. Or maybe I should buy myself a suit. Clearly women in suits is my 2nd-favorite thing to post on this blog, after Kate Middleton.

Anyway - Lorelai Gilmore\Lauren Graham! (Isn’t it weird that they have the same initials?) What is your secret? How are you so ageless?

Also, can you adopt me so we can talk really fast and weave pop-culture references into our conversations?

I think we all know by now that I love a girl in a tux. This Louis Vuitton suit adds a little feminine sparkle to the look, and the clutch is adorable.

Now if only Hailee Steinfeld would hem those pants by about 2 inches. Also, I think a collared shirt would have been nicer.

Oh wow. I am in love with these pictures.  I mean, Stav and I are in love with Emma Watson to begin with. And she’s wearing a suit. And everyone who reads this blog knows I love the girly-tuxedo. This is a very cool and sassy take on the look. The pink blazer is tailored perfectly, and the sweet color contrasts beautifully with the black hat and tie.

My only complaint are the lace formal shorts. The look is a little diaper-esque, n’est-ce pas?
