First of all: cute. But most importantly I have shoes exactly like those and I love them so much and wear them all the time. Yes, I feel a little bit cool right now.

I’ll start this post by saying that I am usually not a Stella McCartney fan. I don’t like overly simple clothes, and I prefer bright colors, something Sir Paul’s daughter seems to have never heard of. In fact, I disliked much of this collection, which featured suits that were tailored to be three times as wide as the model wearing them.
However, she made creative use of the sheer trend in her A\W 2011 show at Paris Fashion Week, adding polka dots for a whimsical touch.
You could also see Stella pandering for the red carpet with a few elegant pieces like this velvet dress with a peplum. This dress just tells me that I’m way ahead of my time, because I designed a very similar one for myself when I had to be a bridesmaid last summer. Only it was in an awful champagne-gold color (not my choice).
Speaking of gold…This dress is very funky and not a typical Stella look. It would be great to wear out dancing!
Finally, we have this waffle-knit sweater and slouchy pants. They’re very on-trend and look like a perfect apres-ski outfit. I’m not sure there’s a point in paying Stella McCartney prices, though, for sweats…but that’s fashion for you.
